Although I was born in London I have spent most of my life living and working in East Anglia. I originally studied painting and illustration at Walthamstow School of Art and Colchester School of Art before going on to do photography and film at the Royal College of Art.
On leaving the RCA I spent several years teaching at various art schools including St. Martins School of Art and Portsmouth School of Art before taking up work as a graphic illustrator. After a few years I changed over to film editing but continued to keep up my interest in drawing, painting and photography. I then returned to the RCA as a part time tutor in the Film and TV Department as well as continuing to work as a freelance film editor. After many years working in the Film and TV industry I decided to return to painting full time which had always been my main passion.
